The name of the composition is conditional. What is most likely presented here is a fragment ( improvisation ) of a live performance of Fat Old Sun in 1971. But due to the musical completeness of this fragment, it can fully be attributed to an independent work. Excellent jazz improvisation !!!

What’s the origin of this song?
It was recorded for the soundtrack of "Zabriskie Point." You can buy the CD that came out in 1998(?) when Turner released the double-disc version with songs not on the first release.

Great guitarist. You can tell he was in a Pink Floyd cover band in his early days from the sound. Major David Gilmour influence in his guitar playing and he is very very good. Love this sound. Sounds like a mix of Pink Floyd and Enigma, both amazing artists and distintive sounds. Wow!!
